El Refaey was part of the information security functions in multiple telecom operators across the Middle East. He also offered consulting services to multiple companies and financial institutes in the field of information security as well as network infrastructure. El Refaey is, currently, leading the cyber-defense center in one of the fastest growing telecom operators in the Middle East.
